Like so many before me, I was raised by a woman whose joy of baking had no limits, no curfew and no budget. I remember often waking up in the middle of the night to hear the oven door closing. I always observed and learned the importance of quality and patience.

Baking is something that brings me immense happiness. I developed this recipe and watched how much joy it brought to those around me. I’m so glad to bring that to you now! I want you to feel good about eating this cookie, sharing this cookie and buying this cookie. Which leads me to my next french phrase, Pour mon Père. For my father.

 

While my mother was teaching me the ABC's of baking, my father was teaching me about perseverance, grit and the art of giving back.

 

In 2020 my father was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease. Navigating this journey has been challenging but deciding to give back while doing something that I love has been a true joy.So while I continue to pray for a future without Alzheimer’s we can together contribute to make that a reality through the walk to end Alzheimer’s.
